Gipping Riding Society was started over 40 years ago to provide fun, opportunity and challenge for the equestrian community by organising shows, competitions and events that appeal to novice and experienced riders alike.

​

Whilst members and competitors come from far and wide, our heartland is north Suffolk, with most activities taking place within a 15 mile quadrant north and east of Stowmarket.

​

Our activities include:

​

• Spring and Autumn dressage shows at  Crow's Hall

• Showing show at Helmingham Hall 

• Fun show including show jumping and gymkhana in September

• Pleasure rides

• Quiz night

• Demonstrations and talks

• Regular schooling sessions

• Members points league, where points make prizes (or in our case, beautiful rosettes and a trophy!)

• Team activities

• Members-only online dressage league

Members and non-members are always welcome at open GRS events whether competing or spectating. If you'd like to take part or simply sample the atmosphere, you'll find details of forthcoming events, shows and demonstrations on our Events page.

Naturally, members enjoy special benefits such as subsidised entry fees to GRS events and training, a monthly 'Chairman's Chat' email, and as a member of a British Riding Club, you will also receive a copy of Rider Magazine, a quarterly instalment of news, information and articles exclusively for BRC members.
